[ Agenda ]
“Twelve rooms. Twelve technologies. One hundred executives”.
2-day, invitation-only, personalized showcase
targeting
media-directors / brand-managers
from major advertising brands. And executive producers /
showrunners from
prominent TV series.
General Background:
The
ITA will be taking over
8 cottages
and two
multi-room bungalows
at the historic
Miramar Hotel above the beach in Santa Monica. The hotel site was
the original home of the city's founder and was built around the 80-foot Moreton
Bay Fig Tree, now over 115 years old.
Each room
will be hosted by a leading ITV
company
showcasing interactive
technologies--
applications that are available today
and operational today.
The program begins with a
Progressive Dinner
on Sunday evening.
For three hours, we’ll navigate room-to-room; explore state-of-the-art
television applications, dine on tapas and wine, and mingle with peers and
press.
Monday is built around three
Roundtable Workshop
meals. Breakfast will highlight
Conrad Riggs
from
Mark Burnett Productions,
who has been a leader in developing the most successful reality programming
("Survivor", "The Apprentice", "Rock Star"). Lunch will bring in
Steve Oedekerk from
O Entertainment.
Steve has a long history in feature films ("Ace Ventura", "Bruce Almighty",
"Barnyard"). But he has also been a leading innovator of kid's TV programming ("Jimmy
Neutron"). On Mon. evening,
we'll focus on "Zune",
the new personal media player from
Microsoft.
Some dignitaries from Microsoft will host a
special presentation
as we discuss Zune, mobile media, and new distribution models. As usual at ITA workshops— there are
no panels, no powerpoints,
and no press.
Only pure peer discussion.
During the day on Monday, participants will get
personalized
demonstrations
of the latest ITV applications. Producers and Brand Managers will begin
discussions with potential technology partners. Tuesday morning concludes
with a Summary
Breakfast hosted by
Ken Rutkowski from KenRadio,
followed by wrap-up meetings in the cottages. Technology companies involved include:
Microsoft,
TandbergTV, HSN, TiVo, Schematic, Entriq,
Vidiom, DaveTV, Panache, and M2B2.
